Our academically and aesthetically enriched programs offer superb preparation for college, career, and life in a nurturing environment. Students benefit from the personalization of a small high school through our Smaller Learning Communities, while also taking advantage of the wealth of offerings that a large high school can provide. Every ninth grade student is enrolled in an SLC themed elective class that focuses on real world linkages through argumentative writing and non-fiction readings.

Program Details
Law & Government
Students explore ethical, moral, cultural, and legal factors affecting societies past and present. Through frequent field trips to major cultural institutions of New York City, this program prepares well-rounded individuals who have skills to serve their community. Students in this program join AVID, Advancement Via Individual Determination, a national college readiness program that teaches students critical thinking and organizational skills.
