Curtis High School is a Community School whose mission statement declares: "Curtis will be a nurturing community where all of its members will have the desire and opportunity to achieve their fullest potential." Curtis continually seeks to provide academic, extracurricular, social-emotional, and health and wellness services that are comprehensive, coordinated, and responsive to the evolving needs of our community. Curtis consists of small learning communities (houses) giving students and faculty the opportunity to teach and learn with a more personalized approach. Art
Curtis High School is a comprehensive high school located on the north shore of Staten Island near the Staten Island Ferry. Curtis High School provides arts instruction in the four major arts forms of dance, theatrer, music and visual arts. We offer sequential instruction in visual arts, jazz band, concert band, guitar ensemble, and chorus. Our dance programs offers modern, ballet, survey and choreography. Dance, visual arts and theater all offer International Baccalaureate classes, but all students at Curtis High School can pursue a sequence in the arts, regardless of their chosen learning track.

This program offers students the opportunity to gain a basic understanding of law as the foundation of human society and our role as citizens in the justice system. In addition to standard academic curricula, students interact with representatives from the legal community, including district attorneys, judges, and special law enforcement agencies such as the FBI.
