Herbert H. Lehman High School is committed to challenging, engaging and developing the minds of all of our students. College and career support begins in the 9th grade with PSAT/SAT preparation, college visits and scholarship opportunities. Students can challenge themselves by enrolling in honors courses, Advanced Placement (AP), SUNY and College Now courses. Additionally, we offer courses for those interested in STEM fields (i.e. engineering) and research experiences, computer science/coding/cybersecurity and traditional/digital arts. Lehman also offers extensive opportunities to participate in clubs, sports, community service, internships, regents preparation and after school tutoring.

We offer a selection of courses in the visual and performing arts. Visual arts combine traditional methods (drawing, etc.) with digital platforms (Adobe Photoshop). Performing arts include Rock Band (guitar/drums program), digital music, dance (4 year program) and theater. We have dedicated rooms for the arts, including a black box theater with stage quality lighting and sound.
