About

Bronx Early College Academy (BECA) meets the needs of highly motivated students by providing a school community and learning environment where every child can feel successful. BECA is an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School offering two IB programs: the IB Diploma Program and IB Career-Related Certificate program. BECA also offer a NYS State approved Career Technical Education (CTE) program in Web Design using Adobe Dreamweaver. Students participate in a range of activities such as community service, college trips, project-based learning, clubs, and PSAL sports. BECA offers a full-time, onsite Director of Post-Secondary counseling who supports students' and families' access to superior post-secondary college and career opportunities. We are part of the Career Readiness and Modern Youth Apprenticeship (CRMYA) pilot, which helps us support career readiness for all our students. We have courses that help our ninth and tenth graders explore their career interests and develop readiness skills. Our students can apply for apprenticeships in tech, finance, and business, which allows them to earn and learn while in high school.
