About

New World HS is a college preparatory school. We are currently an IB (International Baccalaureate) candidate school in the process of becoming a certified IB school. At New World HS, students earn college credits while they are in high school. High academic expectations coupled with quality interactions among students and teachers, a strong language focus, and a rigorous curricula emphasizing thinking through writing, discussion and inquiry are the norm across all classrooms. Recognizing the various challenges that ELLs may face while transitioning to a new country and culture, our school integrates social-emotional supports to create a safe, healthy learning environment and help reduce non-academic barriers to college and career success. Our instructional design and curricula meet each student's needs, interests, and abilities while promoting an understanding of, and appreciation for, diversity.
