Martin Van Buren High School is a Noble institution proudly offering rigorous programs in Health Sciences, Robotics, Engineering, Law, and Media Arts. Our mission is to develop the entire student through academic, social, and mental support systems at MVB. We challenge all students inside and outside of the classroom with a variety of college-accredited classes and mentorships through Syracuse University, Harvard Equity Lab, Georgetown University Law School, and CUNY College Now. Seniors are able to take day classes on the Queensborough Community College campus for college credits. Our students showcase their talents through activities and competitions around NYC via our teams in Robotics, MathWorks Math Modeling Challenge, Model United Nations, Mock Trial, Debate, and Journalism. Students have the opportunity to join the Army JROTC program which emphasizes character education, student achievement, wellness, leadership, and diversity.
