About
Midwood High School celebrates a long tradition of academic excellence. Our school has been nationally ranked as one of the best schools in New York City by the New York Post, Newsweek and The Washington Post. Our school consists of three institutes. Placement in our Medical Science and Humanities Institutes is highly competitive and dependent upon strong academic performance. Our school currently offers 21 different Advanced Placement courses. The Liberal Arts & Science Institute serves students who reside in the geographical catchment area. These students are selected for one of three programs: LASI Honors Academy, College and Careers, or College Support.
