About
Forsyth Satellite Academy is a Consortium Arts Transfer Community High School, where students learn through collaboration and independent research while participating in small class-led discussions and hands-on, real-world activities. Students graduate by presenting their own research projects for each core content class (called PBATs), in lieu of Regents. We provide personalized instruction and holistic supports from a team of social workers, guidance and advocate counselors, advisors, and teachers. Courses are specifically designed around their interests', and together, we get to explore topics such as the use of algebra in sports, global LGBQTIA+ issues, alternative energy use, and one's own identity. Students develop their artist selves and portfolios, working with professional artists of various styles and mediums. With over 40 paid internship and SYEP spots, certification trainings, and 1:1 college and career advising, Forsyth graduates are ready for college or employment. We accept students on a rolling admissions basis for grades 9-12.
