At Francis Lewis High School, our current arts program consists of dance, theater, visual arts, graphic arts, and vocal and orchestral/band performances. Our goal is to sustain a diverse and challenging sequence of courses which will culminate with various performances in and out of school. Our Celebration of the Arts will showcase art (literature, performance, visual ) by our students and staff in hopes of promoting cultural and the social-emotional development of our school community. Our students are exposed to authentic arts experiences outside of the classroom, including performances, trips, and presentations by guest speakers, organizations, and post-secondary institutions. Many of our students get accepted and earn scholarships to colleges and universities specifically for the arts.
