A-Tech school of technology is a Career and Technical Education (CTE) High School that provides scholars with the academic, technical and professional skills required for 21st century careers and post-secondary education. Our focus in the areas of Arts & Media, Computer Science (Software Engineering), Business & Entrepreneurship and Automotive Technology capitalize on engaging, growing fields of study with high employment demand. Our nurturing school environment is characterized by smaller class sizes, personalized guided support and opportunities for international travel. All students have access to Advanced Placement , college courses, internships and a host of extracurricular activities, empowering them to create academic and social paths that lead to success. We are a Career Readiness & Modern Youth Apprenticeship School which means part of our Juniors and Seniors instruction time takes place outside our school building, at a worksite in the Tech, Education, Business, or Finance industries. We are part of the Career Readiness and Modern Youth Apprenticeship (CRMYA) pilot, which helps us support career readiness for all our students. We have courses that help our ninth and tenth graders explore their career interests and develop readiness skills. Our students can apply for apprenticeships in tech, finance, and business, which allows them to earn and learn while in high school.

Art
This New York state certified visual arts program focuses on graphic design and photography. Students in this program work in a Mac computer lab to help their creations come to life. Developing both graphic design and photography skills enables the students to pursue a wide variety of visual arts interests when they get to college. Possible career paths include, but are not limited to: graphic design, film, fashion, web design, architecture or product design.

This rigorous 4-year sequence requires students to complete 1000 hours of work in engine performance, electronics, brakes, and transmissions for career opportunities in the automobile repair, tuning, diagnosis, and other areas. Students engage in industry-based assessments, competitions, and Work Based Learning opportunities with our business partners. Completion of the program results in CTE Certification and ASE/NATEF entry-level certification allowing the opportunity to work upon graduation.
