About

Bushwick Leaders’ High School for Academic Excellence is a small community high school whose vision is to provide our learning community with a rigorous, collaborative, and culturally responsive academic program that encourages students to think critically, generate discussion, and create products to demonstrate their learning. We are the first school in New York State to have an approved Career & Technical Education (CTE) program in Data Science, which is a technology field that combines business, statistics and computer science. Our school also participates in the FutureReadyNYC program, which provides students with paid work based learning opportunities, career-connected instruction, financial literacy, early college credits and individual college & career advising, all of which are focused on providing students with a market-aligned pathway to a high paying career in technology. Note that our school is temporarily relocated from 797 Bushwick Avenue in Brooklyn to 976 Seneca Avenue in Queens for the 2023-24 school year. We anticipate returning to our permanent home at 797 Bushwick Avenue by September 2024.
