Our challenging and academically demanding program is designed around college preparedness & aligned to Next Generation Standards. High standards, rigor & global themes are infused throughout subjects. Demanding standards around student conduct, school tone, and academic citizenship are strictly maintained. Prohibition of student cell phone use/electronics is strictly enforced. Students are required to present comprehensive portfolios and engage in summer research projects. Teachers work to challenge students’ thinking, build student ownership of learning, and prepare students for college. Building global competence, all students must undertake at least 3 years of world language, including Mandarin Chinese or Spanish. 99% of students graduate in four years. 81% of students enroll in college or career programs. 96% of students feel safe in the hallways, bathrooms, locker room, and cafeteria.

Accountability to quality of work, class participation, and sharp communication skills is heavily emphasized across the curriculum.
