About
Astor Collegiate Academy (ACA) is a science (health care) and technology (data analytics) focused high school, whose mission is to prepare students for college and careers in science and technology. Our college and career experience begins at the New Student Summer Orientation program and builds each year as students are given the opportunity to earn college credits through our Advanced Placement (AP) and CUNY College Now programs and participate in multiple career experiences in science and technology. In addition, students are eligible to earn certifications in science or technology. Students are required to take classes in their selected major (science or technology) and earn a diploma with college readiness recognition. In the four years at Astor, students will develop and refine skills in critical thinking, inquiry, and collaborative approaches as they learn to self-advocate and take responsibility for their own learning. Socio-emotional skills are developed and sustained through advisory lessons and activities.
