DeWitt Clinton High School offers a wide variety of pathways where students choose their program of interest, exposing students to college readiness and vocational job training. There are Seven Pathway Programs that exist within DWC. Pathway programs are 4 year course sequences provide college credit and prepare students for professional certification exams. These exams are taken at the conclusion of their 3rd year in high school. In order to prepare students for true career readiness, each program consists of an after school component designed to prepare students for job training and entry level positions within industry. All Programs offer students the opportunity to obtain onsite paid internships in their 11th and 12th grade years. Students apply to each program in middle school, understanding that each program provides C.C.I. = College Credits. Certification Exams. Internships. DWC Pathways include: Macy Honors, Computer Science, Health Professions & Agriculture, Dance, Visual Art, and Music Production. In addition, Macy Honors Students can select an elective experience in Engineering, Business, Music, and Visual Arts. Students receive chrome books and utilize google classroom. Students graduate with two years of college credits via DWC's offerings of college courses including College Board Advanced Placement (AP), Syracuse University Project Advance (SUPA), Project Lead the Way (PLTW), and Lehman College Now Courses.

Science & Math

DWC’s Health Professions program offers a true CCI Experience; C.C.I. = College Credits. Certification Exams. Internships. Students take a 4 year PLTW course sequence , which offer students performance based College Credits. In addition, students prepare to earn Health Certifications: CPR, First Responder, Phlebotomy, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Certified Nursing Assistant and (CNA). These certifications can earn jobs with annual salaries of $37,369- $48,650. For students who excel academically in 9th and 10th grade, will earn the chance to take Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) courses in 11th and 12th grade, this will prepare students to pass the NCLEX-PN exam to become an LPN and earn an entry level salary of $60,928. Students can also experience the Health Pathway through our agriculture program that teaches students to grow food in our own Hydroponics Lab. This program offers students various entry points to pursue their Health Profession dreams.
