KAPPA International High School is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School that believes in providing all students access to a rigorous education. KAPPA provides authentic, experiential learning opportunities where students learn critical thinking skills and apply their learning to real-world problems. This learning includes a week-long intensive course in which students choose an area of focus, from forensic science to culinary arts. Students are also assigned an advisory program (Crew), which supports social-emotional learning and college & career planning. Students participate in internships with organizations such as NYU, AMNH & ACE Mentorship. All students will be able to take the full the IB Diploma course requirements at KAPPA, but are required to take at least two International Baccalaureate courses.

KAPPA International HS offers a robust arts program both during the school day and after school hours. We include courses in visual arts, music, and theater. Our in-school arts program for the 2023-2024 school year included, visual arts, studio arts, advanced art, beginner theater, and IB Theatre.

Science & Math

Beyond Living Environment and Chemistry, students will complete rigorous coursework in the biological sciences such as Biochemistry, Anatomy & Physiology, and IB Biology. Students will participate in Mentoring in Medicine programs, including the Science Pathfinders in-school program. We also offer internships and opportunities through Albert Einstein College of Medicine and other organizations. These programs facilitate community relationships with doctors and mentors and provide increased student access to internships and scholarships.
