Located in midtown Manhattan, steps from the crossroads of the world (Times Square), Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis High School is a community where we envision our students graduating well prepared for both the business and educational communities. In addition to our award winning Entrepreneurship Virtual Enterprise and Hospitality and Tourism programs, we also offer a third rigorous academic program in economics and finance which includes courses such as AP Statistics, AP Macro Economics, and AP Micro Economics. Explore the world of business through the lens of economics as you prepare for the future. Understand how markets work in order to develop successful business strategies. JKO offers an array of business and math courses that provide an opportunity for work experience and post-secondary studies. Students explore a range of career paths, and gain meaningful experiences they can add to their resumes. Our students engage in a work based learning internship program during their senior year as a way to develop the skillsets necessary to thrive in the business world. Our Entrepreneurship Virtual Enterprise Program enables students to create and operate their own "virtual" company acting as CEOs and department managers. Our NAF Academy of Hospitality and Tourism students explore hotel and event management, as well as study geography, economics, and world cultures. Through our industry and post-secondary partnerships, students are able to work with professionals in the fields of business finance, hospitality and tourism and the arts.

Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis High School is a business focus school committed to developing young men and women with active and creative minds, a sense of understanding and compassion for others, and the courage to act on their beliefs. We believe that the arts provide a platform for our students to do just that, and that the arts and academia are mutual supports for our students' growth. We strive to ensure that our students receive quality arts instruction and authentic arts experiences that can fully develop the whole student and prepare him/her/them for success in college and beyond. Our students explore personal, global, political, and social perspectives through the lens of the arts. In our partnership with Roundabout Theatre Company, students train as lighting designers, sound designers, and stage managers for school productions and are paid interns for our theater rentals. We have multiple performances and exhibitions throughout the year to showcase the diverse talents of our students such as dance performances, student written plays and fashion shows with sustainable student created designs through the Junk Kouture program. We engaged our students in arts residencies, performances by professional companies and held gallery events showcasing student artwork, photography, and poetry. Our arts programming provided social and emotional support for our students and fostered a sense of community. This year we became a Magnet STEAM school and are expanding our programming. Students can now take dance classes in lieu of PE.
