Art
Our goals are to augment learning with imaginative problem solving, skill development, teamwork and aesthetic education. Students develop an appreciation of several forms of artistic expression along with disciplined use of imagination and structured aesthetics. Within historical and experiential contexts, students participate in classes on photography, theater, dance, music and visual arts, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and printmaking. Another goal is to create and maintain meaningful opportunities for students to perform and compose works using vision, movement, sound, and drama. In this way, students are empowered to develop their own artistic voice, connecting the arts to their everyday growth and education.
