Art
The Arts Program at Flushing High School takes a comprehensive approach to creating a rich and immersive environment for our students to explore both Music and Visual Arts through a variety of course offerings. All incoming students have the opportunity to participate in a Art or Music Appreciation survey class that exposes them to a balance of print or digital art and piano, guitar or chorus. As students move through grades 10-12 they have the choice of enrolling in the following courses: Intro to Painting, Advance Drawing, Studio Art, Intro to Digital Illustration, Advance Graphic Design, Intro to Piano, Intro to Guitar, Piano Studio, Guitar Studio and Mixed Chorus. Additionally our after school Theater Club provided students with the opportunity to participate the annual production of a musical. At Flushing High School we believe that the Arts Program is essential to fostering students creative skills and creating a sense of community within our school
