About

At HERO High, students prepare for successful careers in fields where they can change the world for the better. Students study to become a doctor or a nurse, a teacher, or a nonprofit or arts management professional through a challenging course of study that includes early college classes, real world problem solving, advanced math and science classes, a comprehensive work-based learning program and paid internships. There is lots of extra support at HERO High, including tutoring in every subject and an intensive advisory program that allows parents to stay in close contact with the school and students to receive the guidance they need. HERO students work hard, but they also have lots of fun at our many after-school clubs, arts electives, trips, school events and more. HERO students receive support even after they graduate, through tutoring for college classes, career coaching and and access to advanced career opportunities. At HERO High, we have your back for life! HERO High is a FutureReady and Modern Youth Apprenticeship school. We are part of the Career Readiness and Modern Youth Apprenticeship (CRMYA) pilot, which helps us support career readiness for all our students. We have courses that help our ninth and tenth graders explore their career interests and develop readiness skills. Our students can apply for apprenticeships in tech, finance, and business, which allows them to earn and learn while in high school.
